Proven mosquito protection for kid
The warm weather is here, and inevitably so are the mosquitoes. The result: inopportune buzzing, sleepless nights and itchy bites. To combat these annoyances, we’ve developed a mosquito protection product with proven effectiveness: Mousticool lotion.
To test the effectiveness of this protection, we put Mousticool to the cage test. The principle is simple: an arm covered in repellent lotion is inserted every hour into a cage containing female mosquitoes. The number of attempts to bite the mosquitoes over a 3-minute period is counted, giving a reliable percentage of protection. Mousticool achieves 95% protection on application and 74% after 2 hours.
From the age of 3, Mousticool mosquito protection keeps mosquitoes away and reduces the number of bites for up to 8 hours.
Certified organic mosquito protection
To keep mosquitoes away effectively, we’ve simply used ingredients renowned for their repellent properties. Our formulation includes essential oils that are carefully dosed to respect children’s skin and are reputed to scare away mosquitoes (peppermint, lemongrass, lemon eucalyptus and bourbon geranium). We also used catalpa, a tree known for its high content of active repellents. For this mosquito protection to be effective over the long term, we have relied on the perfect combination of polysaccharides and plant oils, which allow the product to last on the skin.
Easy to apply, Mousticool repellent lotion is also moisturising thanks to lemon water, also renowned for scaring mosquitoes away.
All the ingredients we’ve chosen to develop our mosquito repellent are carefully dosed for use on children. It’s a light, non-sticky formula that penetrates quickly without leaving an oily film on the skin.
As soon as the mosquitoes make themselves heard, simply shake the bottle and spray the repellent lotion onto the skin, not forgetting the neck and behind the ears! Unlike chemical mosquito repellents, Mousticool mosquito protection simply dissuades insects from landing on your skin – it doesn’t kill them. So for the deterrent to work, it’s important to cover the entire surface of exposed skin!
